at times, I wasn't crazy about the circles in different places, but I love the way yours looks. This one plays so well with your others.
love the orangey in the center too. :-)

Well ladies this is my block 3 I made a change to the design by having the heart solid. I decided I needed to be able to show off some more of the fabric. Regards Lisa

I don't blame you; your fabric is gorgeous. Do you buy it at your LQS? I have never seen anything like this in my town. Congraulations on another beautiful block.

lizzy 10-24-2011 08:34 AM

Such nice work

lizzy 10-24-2011 08:35 AM

I love your block. How did you get the effect around the center. Is that embroidery work? It is very effective. Good work, Maryb

Lisa, your block is stunning. Using the fabric that you did, gives a whole new look to the pattern. Do you mind if I copy your idea? :D

I just used a buttonhole stitch on my machine but instead of the one stitch going onto the applique, I turned it the other direction and stitched it on the outside of the applique going away from the piece. it gives an "eyelash" look that way.

What a beautiful block. I love the way your colors blend together so well. I may use your block as an inspiration when I get to block 3.
