Nice to be home for a couple of days to restock. Missed reading all the posts and pics, but missed the group also. I've made up more of my own design blocks - I decided I'm making this AOTH for DH and I, therefore will be changing up the size - OMG how many more blocks do you think I have to make...

DeeCee - I really anticipate seeing your "Nappy Cake" pics, that sounds like a fun idea, are we allowed to copy your Nappy Cake?

Thanks Lesley for asking that question - had me going as well....LOL.

Wedding was awesome, great sunny weather at the Pacific ocean, they wore no shoes and stood in a very small stream -beautiful couple - they are so happy - enjoy looking

Both over 6 feet tall - Taylor and Amanda Summerfelt

 It sounds a bit gross doesn't it.

It is actually made of bibs, growsuits, nappies all separately rolled up and arranged in a round cake shape with two or more layers. It can be decorated with toys or small baby items.

I haven't made one before so it will be an interesting project. My DD is making a rose bouquet out of baby socks. She is also expecting in a few months.

I will post a pic when I have made it.

Thanks for the explanation - we don't even have baby showers here, so I wouldn't have had a clue.

They look such a happy couple. Bare feet would have given me frostbite, I got married in December!

Love the wedding photo - beautiful couple and scenery.

We don't usually do the baby shower thing either but unfortunately my mother and sister live an hours drive from here and neither of them drive. I doubt very much that they will be able to visit son and DIL (who live near me) when baby arrives.

Thought the best solution was to have a baby shower at a time when I knew there was someone available to chauffeur them to my place. At least they get the chance to wish her well before the day.

Just gets a bit complicated at times when family don't have transport, either car or public.

Have u ever thought about checking out a limo service or rent a van and driver and take the shower to them. You would have such a good time, and the memories you make would be so much fun for everyone. I have seen lots of ladies do that in this city - just food for thought. If you get enough people, shouldn't be too costly, as long as everyone pays their own way.

Thanks for the idea - will certainly keep this in mind for future use.

Well, I left those colors in #11 and guess they don't look so bad. I still have to sew the centers and do the bobbin work. Maybe tomorrow.

Well, we had a storm today!!! Thunder, lightening & DUST!

Notice how green the grass is! :-( And DH has been watering, too.

Wow, you sure could do with some rain.

That view could be in outback Aus.
