I would hate it if you made yards of the narrow borders and then that happened.
I am making 10" blocks. Thank you for catching my error. I looked at the cutting chart and Aie cut her strips 1 1/2" wide and I added for shrinkage and cut mine 2 1/2" wide. I need a finished 1 1/2" border. I didn't have any shrinkage in the width, so I will cut my narrow borders 2" wide. Is that what you did? |
Thats a really pretty block Kathy!

Donna, your quilt is beautiful. I love your heart border. And Kathy, I also love your #33. Beautiful colors.

Your quilt is a winner, Donna. All of your colors blend so well together. Your outer border is an eye catcher.
Kathy, I love your block. I haven't come to that one yet but I hope mine comes out 1/2 as nice as yours. |
WOW Donna your quilt is stunning. Love the blue look. Kathy another beautiful block. Great colors.

Thanks for the encouragement, and wonderful comments. I borrowed the heart idea from Cheryl - so can't take all the credit for that one...keeping the faith and staying positive.

Thanks for all the compliments!
The outer 20 blocks are now part of the center unit. I would be posting a pic, but the darn wind is really blowing, so I can't get one right now. Maybe it will settle down before it gets too dark to get one. I have cut & marked the next shark tooth border pieces. Now I need to sit with the iron & press all the points. When that's done, I'll start to put them on the background. I don't remember if I basted the points down or not & I didn't put that bit of info in the tute I did - figures!!! |
