Did "Starlette" make here dress from her kitchen curtains? I think she is very well attired!

Chele 04-07-2008 04:49 PM

Awwww, that's pretty "dang" cute Feathers! I love the letter!

tlrnhi 04-07-2008 05:02 PM

Feathers...that is just too cute!

Feathers 04-07-2008 06:17 PM

Thank you all for the nice encouraging words. My Southern Belle ALMOST had green brocade dress and I even thought about doing the Carol Burnette thing with the dress and leave the curtain rod on through the shoulders but decided to just dally in the obsurd...I may jump in with a cannonball as these quilt blocks evolve. It was a fun, fun block.

Feathers 04-07-2008 06:18 PM

Lois...come to think about it, her dress could have been cute kitchen curtains!

Oh that is just too cute--so many clever ideas of things to do with Sue. After seeing each one, I am always saying "Why didn't I think of that?"

luvabargain 04-12-2008 09:39 AM

I love, love LOVE these! You are all sooooo creative with your Sues and Bills. Awesome.

I had alot of fun and quite a few chuckles looking thru all the Sues :P . You have all been so creative with her. Here is my Sue, she is not origonal, I made her about 10 years ago for a club block collection. So it was really great to have the incentive to make one I will be able to keep this time :P . I'm going to set her on point in a cushion to go on the bed with the quilt.

Fancy Sue, her dress is made out of a fan block

She's really cute, Shelly!

ShellyQ 05-13-2008 01:40 AM

Thanks Terri, that's the last one, I've finally caught up with the BOMs, just in time for the next one to be posted lol

vicki reno 05-13-2008 02:59 AM

As always, you have outdone yourself! Looks great!

tlrnhi 05-13-2008 03:01 AM

I really should do the BOM since I am in a "lull" at the moment. I want to make something, but don't know what. Don't want to do a crumb. Wanted to do the watercolors one, but have to wait for the Quilt Fuse.
I dunno.....

conblond2005 05-13-2008 04:58 AM

Chelel,

Very colorful, I love that!

conblond2005 05-13-2008 05:00 AM

I'm off this morning to your home country. Wish the sleet would stop here. I sure don't want any delays along the way. I'll be changing planes in Chicago this afternoon. Wish me luck! See ya all in 2 weeks or so unless I can use my friends computer over there.

Shelly, She is really adorable.... :D You are a very talentet lady...Don't stop posting....

Feathers 05-13-2008 05:12 AM

Conblond:
Good luck on your trip to your summer home. Hope the weather is good for you. Saw where you hail from Cd, Idaho (won't EVEN try to spell your town...never could get the hang of that spelling  ). We lived in Spokane for a few years and in central Washington. Whenever people (kids not quite or just out of high school) wanted to get married "on the spur of the moment" they went to Cd, Idaho! I never did but lots of people I knew did. If someone mentioned going to Cd everyone automatically asked "to get married?" I wonder if some of these folks are still "hangin" in there with their quicky marriages???

vicki reno 05-13-2008 05:18 AM

Have a good time. Post pictures!

Hi Karenmay,

I tried sending you a private message but don't think it sent to you. I made it to England this morning. I just have a question for you, Do you know if they sell those color catchers here? In the stores at home they sell Shout color catchers that I use. My friend needs some for the quilt I brought to her.

Very nice.

I'm always doing catch up also. I'll go in spurts, but I think I'm done now, I just have to finish it. I'm kind of waiting until I move in a few months and will be able to have my own "art studio" room. l;

Yvonne 02-04-2009 03:30 PM
