Sewbizgirl - it is such fun to look back at these older blocks. Great job!

I agree, I loved that Ann block pattern too. :-) It's one of my favorites.

tuckyquilter, I hope you join in making these blocks. They are so cute and little, just 6" finished. But you could enlarge them, if you want. It's fun to make them with other people, and see how each person chooses to make the block with their own fabrics. Also, the book is very quaint to read. I really enjoyed the stories in it, and will surely read them over again sometime in the future.

Sewbizgirl I am back tracking you. lol.. These two blocks are very nice. I love the bright colors in the first one. I like how the corners embrace it all like a big starburst. That purple going out into the yellow is so pretty. I like those little ducks in the second block.

All the other blocks I seen too were amazing.

I guess I'm going to be dredging up all the old threads! I'm trying to catch up from the beginning of the book forward...

Even tho they are old, these threads are all new to me. I love seeing all the other versions of these blocks I'm making. Everyone did such a great job.

sewbizgirl, love seeing your blocks too! It's nice to have the threads still here, because anyone can add to them at any time, and also look back to see the earlier pictures of what others have done.

True, Newbies can join in whenever they want. I don't see why this little book isn't more popular. The blocks and fabrics are amazing! We can actually recreate the beautiful look of vintage quilts.

The sampler is really neat, but I'm also thinking about using this as a reference book to make bigger quilt blocks and whole quilts with just one of two of these blocks in different colors. Lots of possibilities. I love the book.

I love the book too. I enjoyed it so much I quickly bought another of her books. :-) And I have only about 3 other quilt books in my quilt library-- so you can see I really like them! I had the same idea about using one or two block patterns and basing a whole quilt on them.
