Thanks Ladies for taking a look!
I had SO much fun when I was making them ... and might make them sometime again, and add on fuzzy bunny tails and other trimmings.

Ok, here is something else I finished during our Spring break. It is the quilting and binding of Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll, the 2010 Mystery Quilt I finished a year ago January.

I finally just got up the nerve to quilt it on my DSM. I followed advise of Penski (on this board) who said to put the backing, batting, and quilt top together on a large table. Divide the quilt into 3rds, and cut just the batting out of the sandwich. Number the battings where they were butted up together so you can reattach the batting after you finish quilting the center section. I used quilting spray and sprayed the center parts, then quilted just that section. I then used some fusible interfacing I cut into 1" strips and ironed the next piece of batting to the quilted middle section. I then used the quilting spray on that section and quilted it. By doing it in sections, I did not have to deal with the whole quilt getting in the way. I thought it worked really well.

I stitched in the ditch first, then traced designs on Press and Seal. I put these on the quilt and just followed the lines. I cannot do FMQ without following something! The Press and Seal pulled off easily and I am happy with how the quilt turned out.

The quilting does not show up it seems, I used invisible thread on the top. I should flip it over and take another photo.

JeanieG your RRCB is beautiful, I made one but did not put the string blocks in it.
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter

JeanieG, love your mystery quilt; beautiful colors. Neat quilt inspector too. Looks like you rated high with him.

Very nice, Jeanie-I love the colors you used. Thanks for the info on quilting in sections and glad to know it worked for you-that's something I may have to try. I absolutely hate quilting a large quilt so I don't make any!
Cute kitty. Why is it when our furry friends see a quilt spread out they immediately claim it??

Jeanie--great quilt! Thanks for sharing with us.

ooooooooooooh JeanieG .. that is a beautiful scrappy, indeed! The beige strings really make the pink/green blocks pop, but not attack!

What a good idea to get rid of a lot of the bulk and let you quilt. Now you have me curious about the PressNSeal .... does it actually stick to the fabric? and not shift off? Do you mark it before you put it on the quilt? or after? How large a patch do you put on at a time? (*note to self* buy PressNSeal!)
