Sour cream cookies....haven't had those in years. Mom also made a sour cream pie for special occasions that I just loved.

Fabulous blocks. I'm enjoying checking them out.
QuiltE - Our Vancouver PNE doesn't do butter sculptures. We do sand. They are outside along one of the walkways. Butter would melt and then ick. We also do can sculptures. After the PNE is over, the tinned food is donated to the food bank. Win, win. Here is my Cloverleaf block. Rotary cut and pieced. And that's it for PC this weekend. |

W4Me ... those batiks are really creating a lot of movement with their different colours and shading.
ha! ... the butter sculptures are done in a refrigerated room with a glass front! The sculptors are all bundled up with many layers as it has to be kept so cold. They only stay in there for so long, as they get too cold. Will have to try to get some pics this year. They do the butter sculptures at The Royal in November. The CNE always has a large sand sculpture done. They start ahead of the show, so we get to see the wooden frame underneath, whereas most people think it is all sand ... NOT! All the same, it is incredible the detail and work they do. Each year different. Neat idea on the can sculptures! and a bonus for the food bank. |
W4Me - I'm loving your fabric choices on these blocks! Great work!

Thanks QuiltE. I'm happy with how things are going.
I'm also pleased there are a few people following along. It helps a lot. |
