Carrie, this block will be a show stopper in your quilt. The viewer's eye will immediately be drawn to it. Put it in a place that deserves the spotlight.

........ Though you could use the pattern and make the pieces larger.

The contrast is subtle with the darker fabrics but is perfect for this block.

Fabulous blocks as usual.
Lightning is complete. I used, gasp, orange for my second colour. It seemed appropriate. I was going to change up the centre row a bit as I find the block a little boring. But, once I saw the way the orange played, I decided it wasn't boring at all. It seems narrower at the bottom in the photo but it isn't. I took the pic at an angle and was too lazy to retake it. |
WOW!! ... look at how the orange comes out of the sage!
As you said before ... a real chameleon that sage is. Well Done .. W4Me! |
Thank you. And it was you who first called it a chameleon. :) And right you were.
|
I like that block W4Me. The orange makes a boring block interesting and will add a pop of color to your quilt.

Thank you janRN - there are a few brights in the mix now.
QuiltE - several people mentioned the sage picking up the other colours but it turns out I was the first to use the term chameleon. Go figure. |
LIke Jan said, the orange makes it interesting. I didn't like the block but I like yours :)
