OMG QuiltE that is one gorgeous quilt! So feminine with the lace edge. Love it!

And you hadn't seen it before? I'm quite pleased with it. The funny thing is, that it's so not me! Pretty much everything I make is loud, bright, colourful ... this is so fluffy fluffy frou frou that most who know me find it hard to believe I made it :)

Yet, I like it! .......... I have three quilting goals this year to get out of my comfort zone ...
1. something subdued, soft and calm
2. a matchy matchy quilt
3. and working with a coordinated collection of fabrics.
Who knows, maybe I'll kill all three birds in one quilt? :)

Absolutely ... and shorten my work load!
But first ........ lots of other PhDs to tackle, a FWS to finish and PC to gallop along with. :)

Love your quilt QuiltE, I have decided on blue for my sashing and just have to pick between a large floral or a floral border print for my final border on the PC quilt.

I was going to do it in red but I have already chosen a red floral print as the final border on my Sylvia's Bridal Sampler, 130 x 6 inch blocks, I've only finished 2 but that's a start. I might try and get organised a do a few each week with my Pony Club blocks

Just so busy at the moment, stop the merry go round I want to get off (just to stretch my legs)

MiraBelle ... WOW!! starting SBS at the same time as PC!
Looks like the colours are similar ... are the fabrics similar too? or a total different look to them?

I can't believe so many of you are already thinking of the sashing, borders etc.
When I mentioned it, I was more joking than serious ... and here you are making those decisions already! :)

No totally different QuiltE, I am using American Banner Rose fabrics for PC and Pom Pom De Paris by French General for SBS. Lots of lovely pinks, reds and yellows.
I just checked and I have the first 3 blocks finished, posted pics for you, hope nobody minds

Thanks for posting Maribelle. I have the book and have about 10 blocks done that are duplicates from FWS. I'm not sure if I will get it finished this year though. There are other projects that are with deadlines and this is just a wish line.

Hey ya'll-
I haven't figured out the sashing yet but I just ordered the backing & already have half of the binding. I plan on doing the flange binding that Charismah has a tutorial on. I tried it on my 6 hour quilt, that took 2 weeks, & loved it! Here's the link to my quilt.
