Here are my 3" #23 and #24. I am not sure if I like how 24's colors blend so may be doing another. I still need to square and press but slowly catching up.

Very pretty-I like the soft colors. Are these the small ones? You are so brave (and talented!)

Thanks, I am doing these ones in the 3" paperpieced and using 30's fabrics. The paperpiecing makes them a little easier I think, though lots of seams for such a little piece on some of them. |

Here are my 4" #23 and #24 in Scrappy Fabrics.
The red and black in my #23 isn't my favorite at all. But will do for now, if it doesn't grow on me by the time am ready to put this quilt together it may be a mug rug or something..... #24 4" Country Path -Paperpieced Scrappy Fabrics #23 4" Country Fair- Paperpieced Scrappy Fabrics |
Are you sewing around the clock? You have been one busy lady-love all your blocks.
|
Hee he....
Actually no, but close I quilt more when stressed so have been getting caught up or at least trying to. |

The last four I just posted I am redoing they were about 1/4" too big, I copied the patterns for PP from a copy rather than the cd and they came out too big. Sooooo I'm really back where I started. |

Here again are my 4" New "right size" blocks for #23 and #24. At this rate I may end up with a set of FWS matching mug rugs

23 was fun and easy. 24 was like the 70's rock group: Blood, Sweat and Tears! I kept ripping out seams; some were assembled backwards or mirror image, others needed points matched better. I even ended up gluing one piece that wouldn't pin so the end of the seam was even. I used a glue stick, ironed it then sewed the seam. That was after trying it with pins two times. But it done. Thank goodness! :D

And guess what? It is actually larger than 6-1/2! It's easier to trim down than to trim up! |

Here are my blocks 23 and 24. They are embarrassing - but I figure this is the only way I will learn!

What are you embarrassed about??? I love them both, esp how you did the second one. Mine's still in 4 sections-I can't fit them together. Love the fabric in the first one. I think you did a great job.
|
My blocks just aren't as good or as matching as everyone else's. And I really notice it when I take the picture. But - it's okay - I just know I have a lot to learn!
|
roxanne, you're doing a great job! No need to be embarassed...nice colors too!
