Here are my 3" #23 and #24. I am not sure if I like how 24's colors blend so may be doing another. I still need to square and press but slowly catching up.

JanRn,
Thanks, I am doing these ones in the 3" paperpieced and using 30's fabrics. The paperpiecing makes them a little easier I think, though lots of seams for such a little piece on some of them.

Here are my 4" #23 and #24 in Scrappy Fabrics.
The red and black in my #23 isn't my favorite at all. But will do for now, if it doesn't grow on me by the time am ready to put this quilt together it may be a mug rug or something.....

JAGSD 12-01-2010 10:17 AM

Hee he....
Actually no, but close I quilt more when stressed so have been getting caught up or at least trying to.

Quilting Nonnie Thank you, You'll be doing them soon, hang in there.
The last four I just posted I am redoing they were about 1/4" too big, I copied the patterns for PP from a copy rather than the cd and they came out too big. Sooooo I'm really back where I started.

23 was fun and easy. 24 was like the 70's rock group: Blood, Sweat and Tears! I kept ripping out seams; some were assembled backwards or mirror image, others needed points matched better. I even ended up gluing one piece that wouldn't pin so the end of the seam was even. I used a glue stick, ironed it then sewed the seam. That was after trying it with pins two times. But it done. Thank goodness! :D

Yes. Also I was sweating it the entire time worrying if it would turn out large enough. All my blocks have been coming out at 6-1/2" since I started doing them with templates. This one was so much trouble I thought for sure it'd be too small.

And guess what? It is actually larger than 6-1/2! It's easier to trim down than to trim up!

JAGSD 12-21-2010 04:57 PM

Beautiful Blocks! I really like the red bud one too.

What are you embarrassed about??? I love them both, esp how you did the second one. Mine's still in 4 sections-I can't fit them together. Love the fabric in the first one. I think you did a great job.

Halfsquare 01-05-2011 08:45 PM

My blocks just aren't as good or as matching as everyone else's. And I really notice it when I take the picture. But - it's okay - I just know I have a lot to learn!

rwquilts 01-06-2011 05:14 AM

roxanne, you're doing a great job! No need to be embarassed...nice colors too!
