roxannebcb,

Don't be embarrassed,
I love your purple block (I am definetly a purple and blue person......and a green....and a red.....and a orange.... and a.....okay an every color person.....)
Your colors really spark and are quite pretty. Some of these blocks are "tuffy's". We just muddle thru them and keep on a buildin' them.

Thank you everybody - I definitely benefit from your support - and need it. I took pictures of my first 25 blocks last night and will post today. Thank you so much. I should be getting going again with a vengeance. Want to get it done. Don't feel like I can start any other scrappy or pieced quilts until I get this one done.

carolaug 02-20-2011 03:31 AM

I love them all...both but 24 really catches my eye!

These are actually purple, it was too much work to get the right camera out tonight! I liked these two far better than the last two :) I really need to start paper piecing these. Sadly I am hindered by the fact that I can't find a mechanical pencil to make the outlines - - two many kids and not enough pencils

Quilting Nonnie 08-18-2011 04:58 PM

These are really beautiful. I've had blocks I haven't particularly liked, but I've never re-made one. Kudos to you.

I am not going to remake anything either!!!! I am just going to be a better job in the future :)

deranged_damsel 08-18-2011 06:48 PM

OOOohhhh!!! love these two!

I didnt remake a thing on mine, it looks fine once all of the blocks are together ;)

#23 Country Farm
and
#24 Country Path ... some blocks orient themselves to square placement and others better on point. This is one loses something when on point!

oksewglad 11-14-2011 03:03 PM

Another trip through the posts. I just sigh and enjoy all the wonderful combinations you have all come up with. QE, love the red corners, another one that shimmers. The green is really working for sashing I think! All I have time for today, later.

QuiltE 11-14-2011 04:02 PM

Thanks OK ... I'm liking the green too! When you get a chance, take a look at the 1-25 thread, where I have three different fabrics with them. Not the best of pic though!

I'm really learning from these blocks about working with different fabrics ... that shimmery stuff does so much more than a lot of the prints do!

After looking through the blocks I'm in awe of your piecing, folks. I'm trying to get back to these and catch up on the PC so here are blocks for me. I plan on scanning in my previous blocks so I can use them in EQ like I have the PC blocks.

I like your colors. Looks rich and wonderful. Its one stitch at a time until you have them all!! Every journey begins with the first step!!! And then continues on at your own pace.... There are still some blocks I have not done, but will sub others for them.

Honchey 08-23-2012 07:33 AM

It brings a smile to my face remembering doing most of these blocks....I'm still missing several of them...After working on the PC blocks I can't imagine going back to the intricate 6" blocks.. other than a few DJane blocks I never picked up pping until this quilt...now I can't imagine making any blocks without pping them.
Oksewglad, your blocks are beautiful and pieced perfectly. H.

oksewglad 08-23-2012 08:16 AM

Thanks for the encouragement you two. I'm enjoying getting back at these and working with the CW repro fabrics. About half I will PP.

Anael 08-31-2012 12:11 PM

Oh oksewglad, those blocks are beautiful! I still have too many projects to work on the FWS and tomorrow I"m starting a new BOM. What am I thinking

Alas! I'm getting a look at these and they are grand, indeed.
OKSGlad ... Your CW fabrics really are "selling" me on CW.
So colourful, yet so muted at the same time.
And talk about perfection in the piecing!! :)

Like Honchey ... it was nice to return to this thread and re-view what we have all achieved together.

Here are my blocks. The colour placement of Country Path isn't right but it's ok with me :D

carolaug 11-10-2012 05:28 AM

I love this one!

Oh but the colors are so pretty, Anael. Have you been working on these a lot here of late?

Anael 11-10-2012 11:52 PM

Thanks oksewglad :D I came across the FWS and made a few blocks. I still have a long way to go, 26 blocks finished ;)

oksewglad 11-11-2012 09:01 AM

We are at about the same spot then. Not much FWS time ahead for me as family coming in for Thanksgiving in two weeks, then to concentrate on some Christmas projects for those 9 Grands.

Anael 11-11-2012 10:54 AM

Besides Christmas and birthdays there's still the triplets :D My DDIL needs help from now on so there won't be much sewing time left for me I guess. It's OK with me as long as she and the triplets are doing well.

oksewglad 11-11-2012 02:06 PM

Glad to hear all is going well with the mother to be. You aren't experiencing double vision--but triple vision:shock:

gardnergal970 11-14-2012 06:25 AM

Isn't being a grandma fun? I hope your DDIL has a safe and successful pregnancy and you don't get too worn out. It's nice you are close enough to help.

Yes, triplets and DDIL are priority #1 now! :)
Do you know yet, as to whether there'll be girls or boys or a mix?

As for your blocks ... what is wrong with the colour placement? I think they are both perfect!
hhmmmm? Are these FWS blocks destined to be made into triplet quilts? :)

Anael 11-15-2012 01:18 AM

No we don't yet QuiltE but we hope we know in a week or 3. And I don't think the FWS blocks will turn into triplet quilts. As mentioned in another thread my DDIL isn't that much into quilts so I might keep this one for myself :D

Thanks for the compliments on my blocks ladies!

QuiltE 11-15-2012 04:12 AM

Alas!!!! thankfully you are keeping one for you!!

And Ode to Mom is staying with you too?
They'll coordinate nicely together.

Anael 11-15-2012 07:07 AM

Yes Ode to my Mom is staying here too. They can fight over it when I'm not here anymore ;)

Oh the identical twins are boys! At least the picture shows something that looks like they're boys LOL!
My DDIL was here this morning, mentioned she needs some blankets and I showed her the babyquilts I made when she was pregnant the first time. She wants all 4 of them + the one I'm using as a practice piece for my FMQ. So now she's into quilts :D :D
