The tri is fairly straightforward, with a couple of appliqued melons. Are you all getting used to doing them by now?
K10 looks fiddly, but OK as long as you check placement of the blocks. This is one that you should mirror if you want it the same as the original, but I forgot again!
C2 is similar to one already done, but I found this one easier. I appliqued the two larger (corner) triangles over the top of my diagonal seams.
C4 again looks a little fiddly, and might be for those of you hand sewing. PPers shouldn't have too many problems getting those strips ine the middle even. The inset seams in the outer corners are reasonable because of the gentle angle.
C7 might be tricky getting the diamonds lined up, point to point around the central square. If you have problems, try sewing them together with the largest stitch on your machine. If you haven't got them point to point, at least it is very easy to get the stitches out and you can try again.

Thanks so much Lesley! I always like to see how somebody else did them...it makes it easier for me to figure them out. Thanks for being the "big girl" in the Cyber sew and doing them all 1st!

This week does appear that it will be easier....I might just PP those diamonds on C7 and C2 though....hope to get to them today.

OK...finished mine this morning. They aren't all that hard really...but they were very time consuming for me. Of course, since I don't know how to actually sew....those y seams are very slow for me.

So, here are the ones for this week....Rachel, where do you want to post the 6 wk group pics this time...on this thread??

So glad we have a week off to play with other projects.

My C4 is a tad different because I put the sides on wrong. I'm not gonna go back and fix it because I kinda like that way.

Shemjo and I attended an all day workshop yesterday on color and large print fabrics. I would love to get the top finished, work on a baby quilt and start a tote bag that I started to cut out.

I like your C4 too Mama - perhaps we should all have done it that way!. Maksi, your blocks look fine, and you will get better with your applique as you make more blocks - by the time you have your Jane on your bed, they will all look great.

jolo 05-23-2010 03:23 PM

Maksi you will improve on the applique,my pp is slowly getting better.lol

Maksi 05-24-2010 12:36 AM

Thanks Lesly and Jolo, I really hope so because I love to applique but i'm having a hard time doing it. :)
Mamaskeeto, I love your blocks.

sandpat 05-24-2010 05:02 AM

here are my week 20 folks, I am glad of a small break to cope with this heat. my sewing room faces south and we have no blinds on the windows. Another nag for DH next week. Our schools are on 1/2 term holidays next week so that is one for his list!

jolo 05-25-2010 04:12 AM

Sara they are wonderful.

sandpat 05-25-2010 05:05 AM

Aww Sara...now you are all caught up! Yes, take a break and cool off, you've done a great job on this last weeks blocks too!

Shemjo 05-25-2010 06:15 AM

Wonderful blocks, Sarah!
It is difficult when it gets hot so fast, and there is no A/C. I prefer fans to A/C but there are times the humidity requires a change!

wilhelmina 05-25-2010 06:27 AM

The finished blocks look wonderful this week! I love seeing everyone else's color choices from brights to neutrals, beautiful. :)

This truly is a learning experience and development of quilting techniques!

Maksi 05-25-2010 08:55 AM

Great Blocks Sarah! I like your triangle.

eleftheria 05-25-2010 10:57 AM
