This week was a little bit hard for me. I'll try to explain what happened to mine and maybe it will help you.

B6- pay close attention when you are putting the units together. 1 corner of mine at the top is wonky.

C5 - I put it together just fine, but I forgot about the pinwheel design in the background fabric and didn't do that..I just forgot and did my applique. Don't tell anyone...

C6 I did this one using just 2 templates..the bottom circle and then made a template of the top piece. This one was easy.

F10- went together just fine

TR-4 This tri looks much harder than it is. Its time consuming, but not hard. There is no reason to do the top as its drawn on the foundation pattern. Just extend the line of one of the sides of the inner triangle and PP the top section.

Editted to say..Oh dear...does anyone know why my pic ended up so small?

I tried to quilt mine as close to how Jane did it where possible. The pics in the book are quite good at showing where to quilt.

sandpat 09-19-2010 06:23 AM

I'm a cheat I guess Lesley...I bought the software but never bought the book:oops:

QuiltswithConvicts 09-19-2010 08:47 AM

Ladies, I am getting as excited about your Baby Janes as I am about mine! I can hardly wait until you have yours all together! They are all going to be stunning!

Butterflyspain 09-19-2010 08:53 AM

Patti, me too I didnīt get the book either just the software.

Just got the applique finished on the pillow so I am getting there with it, wonīt be long before I am back with you guys again.

Elle

I bought the book about 2 years ago, and actually made a couple of blocks, hand sewing them and then decided it wasn't for me. It was Klue, and everyone here that re-inspired me, plus the availability of the software that made it much easier to contemplate again.

I know your library is miniscule Patti, but could you ask for them to get a copy in for you, when it comes to the quilting part? Ditto for you Elle.

Butterflyspain 09-19-2010 11:03 AM

They have not idea here on books I cannot get an English book in the library far less ask them on a quilting book which they have no concept of. Tere are very few quilters in this area. I say patchwork and they look at me.

I am just going to do my own thing. I could buy the book but I wonīt.

Patti have you started quilting? How about evryone else. I havenīt yet, but I will as soon as I get my bits and pieces out of the way.

Very pretty Leslie

sandpat 09-19-2010 12:20 PM

No I haven't started quilting yet. I was kinda waiting until I had all the blocks with hand applique on them finished. I can do them at night in front of the TV..but I've been sidetracked this week by an IRR quilt and haven't done anymore blocks. I've done through wk 41 and then 2 of the blocks for wk 42..so I'll get back to them soon.

Lesley, thats a good idea about the book...I bet I could probably pick one up cheap on ebay..I'll have to look.

jolo 09-19-2010 01:08 PM

I have finished week 38 and 2 on week39. whoooowhoooo.

Butterflyspain 09-19-2010 01:12 PM

You go ladies, go. Hope to catch up with you eventually.

Elle

sandpat 09-19-2010 03:11 PM

You will Elle...I have no doubts. Once you get that pillow done, I'll need to get my mask out because you'll leave me in the dust!:lol:

Butterflyspain 09-19-2010 10:54 PM

She's gong on holiday to the UK some day soon (is it the beginning of October Elle?), so that will slow her up some.

The one that is white and turquoise triangles (looks like stained glass, but with white) Is that the right name for that block, and where would I find the directions? Thank you so much for your help! They are all such well-done blocks, from everyone.

sandpat 09-20-2010 05:39 AM

Here is a link to a blog that has some directions. I just paper pieced this block, so didn't have all that many problems...I carefully laid out all the pieces while I was sewing though. Its confusing to sew the units back together...try this link though to see if it helps you...http://thatquilt.blogspot.com/2009/01/b-6.html

Here is what I tried out today, feel quite happy about this as the sashing is not too wide so doesnīt detract from the blocks

What do you all think, opinions please.

jolo 09-21-2010 03:01 PM

*I like it

JCquilts 09-21-2010 03:02 PM

I love the dark sashing, it really makes the blocks pop..
