Your blocks are beautiful Kendra. Did you get your fabric as a block of the month or did you do your own selection. I started with bom but I kept finding errors in their patterns so I have done it on my own since about the second month. I just try to keep in the same color hue as Brenda did in her book. I use the software to print the patterns and then I use "That Quilt" for instructions. I seem to understand her instructions better than Brenda. I am determined to finish mine by next year. I have so many ufo's that I want to get done, I feel I have to keep striving for the finish line. If I can be of any help, just send me a message.

caspharm -
someone else had asked the "Mac" question early on [first 100 posts] in original DJ thread we just closed - I believe there was an answer there. I would also call or email EQ - my DH is totally a PC guy and works with mega systems but the rest of the family much prefers the Mac, so I wouldn't necessarily get a PC just for that if there's another way. good luck - and please let us all know if something works :) Gus Nancy, Nancy - So glad to see you back!! yes I do see you're in another state G As far as the MAC goes, depending on where you are at you can go to the Apple store and they can set up a windows enviroment to run window based programs on. I've seen it done and there also has been post on here about it. Good luck to all of you. |

Thank you Kmeyer. I am not doing BOM but ordered some fabric online and picked up some at local quilt shops. My biggest find was at a second hand store. I was lucky enough to get a big garbage bag full of fabric it took two of us to get it out of the store. When I got home and started to emptying it and bring it all inside ( could not wait until husband came home to help carry in the larger bag:).I found a few smaller bags with labels on them. One was reproduction prints :) Happy Happy Happy.Wen I counted I was lucky and there was 89 different prints. Most are small pieces but that is fine and will work well for a Dear Jane. There was also enough diamonds and binding cut and some sew together for a small quilt. I am going to add a few more rows and put it on my old 3/4 bed. Here is pictures of my find. If anyone sees prints that are not reproduction from the 1800's let me know.http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=491684&stc=1http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=491685&stc=1http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=491686&stc=1 I think I did really well for my $5 plus all the other fabric.

Can someone tell me what I am now doing wrong to get two sets of photos? Sorry about that.

Kendra, Did you preview you post? I noticed several people had the same problem today. Maybe there is something going on in the board's system today. Mine did not duplicate when I did my post so I can't say for sure. You had a wonderful find for $5. I could not be so lucky. Mine are all from LQS's and they cost alot more than $5 for certain. I noticed in your second hand bundle, there were numerous blues. I am a little disappointed the DJ does not have alot of blue in it. You have some great prints to choose from.

Kmeyer I did preview and the 2nd one did not show up in the preview. Would you like some blues? They are small pieces but work for Jane blocks. I wish I could find more yellows.
