All the stars are so beautiful. I have made one and just was not happy with how it turned out but feeling inspired again to go give it another go.

I think it looks great - it's ready for the 4th!
|
It "pops". I like it a lot! When I first saw this pattern I thought they would all look so similar, was I ever wrong!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! This project has taught me how to paper piece. Never thought I would want to try it, but these blocks forced me to. It goes much faster now than when I first started, that is for sure! Isn't it great that we are never too old to learn something new.

You all are doing a great job with this star. I enjoyed PP the star parts, and they sat for a good week before I finally put them together yesterday...didn't like that part, no mater what I do, I can never get a flying geese unit to come to the right size, so my block is a bit wonky..since then I had to do some troubleshooting, it is straight now and hopefully my fixing will be covered by the sashing I am going to use to put the blocks together.
Oh, I changed the center a bit. |

Francesrose, Gorgeous!

I have been gone for a couple of weeks and when I finally got caught up with this thread, what a gorgeous bunch of blocks you have all done this month. It is absolutely amazing to me how they all turn out so different and yet are all so beautiful. I have loved seeing the posts where all six stars are together. We are going to have some beautiful quilts from this BOM. Now I need to get busy and get mine done and get caught up.
|
Beautiful blocks, folks. I've definitely enjoyed seeing all the variations. Finally started on mine (I know - horribly late!). Got the center finished, but still have a lot ahead of me.
For those keeping up with my Black and White theme, I've added a touch of red to this one. Hopefully I'll get this finished sometime soon so I can post pics. |
Don't worry gals - I'm just as far behind as you are...but it's still fun being a part of the BOM

Alrighty! I got started today, and just couldn't stop without finishing. This was actually much more difficult than I had thought it would be. I mean, the paper piecing was easy - but putting it together STRAIGHT with the other pieces I found difficult. Cut the points off of most of these by accident. Oh well!
Anyway, just glad to have this one done. Although it ended up considerably smaller than my other blocks (didn't print right, I imagine) - so I figure eventually I'll have to give it a border or something to make it 12". Courthouse Star B&W w/ Red! All together..half way through! |
I love your black and white and that touch of red. Great blocks.
