What size are the little HSTs and the larger ones?
I have found that 1/4" makes a difference.
Directions could be more detailed. TY

The larger ones are cut at 4.5 to finish at 4 inches in the block. The smaller ones are cut at 1.5 to finish at 1 inch in the finished block (after the block is sewn to another block).

What happened to the February Quilting Bee link? It was there yesterday but I can no longer find it today, was it removed?

Dottie..I agree the directions were not as clear as they could have been (I also am puzzled why I can't find the string on the February blocks...this is the January string). The little HSTs are squared to 1 3/4" (see size of the background squares for the corners) and finish at 1 1/4". The large HSTs are squared at 4 1/4" and finish at 3 3/4" (you will see one side is equal to three of the little HSTs..1 1/4" x 3 = 3 3/4"). Finished sizes 3 3/4" plus 1 1/4" = finished 5", or half of a 10" finished block (of course, since there are 1/4" unfinished edges on the outside of the block, it ends up 10 1/2" unfinished).

what happened to the Feb. blocks? I can't find the feed now

I can't find the February thread either. Have notified our leader!

The February thread is gone from my "Subscribed Threads" too.

I luckily downloaded the files for the february blocks...
Here they are for anyone wanting to 'get on' with their blocks, until we get our Feb thread back...
