Signing in, have plenty in stash so this serrves two purposes. Diminish the stash and have fun doing it!

My first block. I think it should serve as how not to choose fabric. They are too close in value.

I think it has a 3-D effect. Just wait until the quilting.

the blocks are fancy stripes and arkansas crossroads both found at quilters cache. rosie you posted twice fancy stripes .. nap time! I think one fun thing is seeing a pattern given and then seeing what everyone choses to do with it. completely different looks. Mine kinda looks like a country Christmas, then you have the other end with the black and blue very striking and orange and b/w is very modern.. and Jan has hers bursting next to the more subtle fabrics its so fun. If you have started early can you post your pics too? I am thinking of doing another set in another set of fabrics since I have time and fabric.. could work as another gift for the holiday next year and how easy would that be? I really like the choices so far. and found lol the crossroads easier to do than the stripe. Love how you wont lose any points either when its sewn up. an issue of mine at times.. less points the better.
