Here are the quilt blocks for Week 3. I hope you enjoy them! If you can't get them done each week don't worry about it. There is no deadline and you can pick and choose which ones you want to make.
I would like to see people post pictures of their blocks or quilts or wallhangings or you can use the quilt blocks for Hotpads or a table runner etc. I like to use them for the front of my tote bags. So lots of things you can do with them. There are picture threads for each week. You can see all the threads in one place in the virtual section. http://www.quiltingboard.com/virtual...jsp?vsnum=1005 Hope you enjoy!! BTW I have a hard time deciding on names for blocks so I decided to just name them girls names. It is easier this way. I do not claim that these are all my original designs as quite often they may be out there and I don't know it. But to the best of my knowledge they are my original designs. There is no copyright on them so feel free to use them any way you want to. You can go go to my online site for directions for making my "Blocks" http://www.bitsnpiecesworkshop.com Erica - Kansas Dugout blocks Cassandra - 4 patch squares/ Kansas Dugouts/ HSTs Cassandra Layout Faith - Star Point Blocks Faith Layout --- I left the lines in the blocks in the 4 center ones so you can see that I still do the block the same as if the other side was not the same as the center fabric. It is just easier to me to be able to k eep the blocks all the same size. Erica - layout ---In this first one you will see blocks that are half and half. You can sew the fabric together the same way as the other blocks and just lay the template on the seam so half of the square is on each side parallel to the seam and cut it out. Rhonda...these blocks with "star" type points...is it a 45 degree? I got 2 templates in the mail, but there's no markings on them except the square gridlines. Can you help me? Do I just need to use a sharpie or something?

Rhonda = Made of Awesome.
Got the 30" templates today...I'm sure I will have plenty to keep me busy! |
so glad the templates are getting out to people! Now if my order of template plastic gets here I can fill the last 60 some requests and be caught up for awhile anyway!
I hope to see pictures of all the pretties you guys make with the templates!! |
I will happily show you pictures. I'm trying to pick just the right fabrics now. I've got a bit of stuff to move around first (being creful, of course)just to be able to get to my machine.

I am looking forward to all the pictures! |
I'm taking it easy. Maybe even too easy. I was hoping I'd get in my sewing room and do something today. But with this distraction and that I barely got a chance to pick out fabric from my stash. I'm hoping to get in there tomorrow and do some sewing. Thanks all you Mothers! I am listening! Hopefully pictures coming soon.
