oh thank you for the nice works K and also the sweet offer to bind if I lived closer. What a lovely gift that would be! I am trying hard literally hard to get work done. I put my head down almost more than I keep it up! They started me on oxygen this week which is fun. I feel so old! I am not old enough to use one of these things! daily! all night long! ugh. I feel like I am on a leash one day it will be normal but truly its like being a dog. now I get why they don't love them so very much. Good news I got this week: my son and his girl are getting married HERE in Cody in September. I will see two children married in just two months. I am fortunate indeed.

Well today I will be posting my last pictures of the last row I am doings. I will ok post a finished picture once I get to that point but I have to apologize that my health is not the best and not looking grand for a big finish. I am overtired. all the time. I have no energy at all and getting one block a week done is not getting me very far. fast. at all. I will miss you all very much but need to take some time to heal and it might take a long while .. darn it. I am going for a block in a block on both sides bold flowers framed in hot colors. I think it will finish out really well and that is going to take a while. at the rate I am going it could be Christmas by the time I post a finished picture. If I am lucky! cross your fingers for me and I wish you all the very best on your ventures here on the board. I think your a wonderful group of ladies who have been a pleasure to work with. xox Brat

Linda - wish I could do something for you as you are struggling with health issues - but the best I can do is prayer and I will. Don't worry about the quilt - do what and when you can. I'm sure we all understand. Take care of yourself now.

Finally got DH to hold up the quilt. I love it and wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been for you all. Thank you Elisabrat.

What a great quilt ! It speaks to me and those Gulls have such an attitude, have to chuckle when I see them.

VickiM 09-08-2015 08:22 PM

That turned out really beautiful!

Karamarie 10-04-2015 07:58 AM

Has anyone else finished their row quilt that they started in March?

dotcomdtcm 10-04-2015 08:02 AM

I did and I posted it. I'd like to do another, but after the "holidaze"!

whitepine 10-04-2015 08:07 PM

I can't wait to get back to mine. Haven't had much time lately and seem to keep coming up with new projects. But it's still on my design wall, waiting for some inspiration on how to quilt it.

Karamarie 10-06-2015 03:44 PM

Yes Dotty I saw yours you NYC girl and Whitepine I know what you mean about time. I'm almost glad summer is over as the work never seems to end but now with fall and I'm sure a freeze pretty soon, I can do more indoor stuff. Yeah.

Dear quilting friends, Just in case you did not hear the sad news, our dear friend and wonderful QB Super Member, Elisabrat (Brat) passed away just before Christmas. So if any of you who are still doing this project and would like to help monitor this thread and help everyone finish their row quilts, I am sure she would be looking down smiling. Just thought I should let you know. But you all know she would want you to keep up with your rows and keep on quilting.

So sad to hear this. Thank you for letting us know.

whitepine 01-04-2016 08:24 PM

I too am very sad to hear of Elizabrat's passing. I knew she wasn't well but didn't know how serious it was. Her wonderful spirit will be missed.

m-fay 01-18-2016 03:07 AM

thank you sandyinZ4 for letting us know. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I learned a lot from her. I will keep checking this post until I finish my round robin I started with her

Dear Friends,
Some of us are making small quilts to honor Elisabrat. Jaba will hang them at the hospice where Linda was helped.
Please consider making something. Can be small. I did a garden, Lynnie did a cat. No rush. Dotty

So sad to hear. I didn't participate in this particular quilt along but I did a medallion that both Elisabrat and Jaba hosted. It was a lot of fun and it was during that time that I became aware of the physical and psychological battles that Elisabrat struggled with. Her illness was monumental and she fought through lack of energy and the side effects of the treatment she underwent in addition to the actual illness. Her determination and valor is beyond anything I can comprehend and I admired her. I hope she is at peace.

Emma, what a wonderful tribute. You said it so well.

whitepine 01-21-2016 08:49 PM

I sure agree. Thank you Emma. Dotty, I am working on a little quilt. It is started from part of my quilt that I didn't use on this thread's Row Robin Quilt.

lovngrandma 01-31-2016 12:27 PM

Oh just saw this, so sad, but she fought a good fight, and never gave up. I learned much from her and have a few blocks she made me, and i will put them in a quilt im making for me, to add more importance to this quilt, she will b greatly missed
