For some reason for the past year I have been unable to post pictures in the threads. I use to be able to do it but they won't post. Other's were also having this problem. I don't know why. Morning All . . . Thanks for all your kind compliments. Everyone's blocks have turned out beautifully .
Not sure about "Y" seams:confused:. I found a YouTube video on how to sew hexies by machine; it seems 'doable.' Just a thought. . . .GP |

NYGAL ... great blocks. I like the leopard batik
|
Great blocks everyone!!!!!! Love all the different colors and fabrics everyone has chosen. After adding the outer edges (grey) am really liking the look of just putting them together looking like hexagons. May be some ripping going on before the end of this :p
|
Nygal: fantastic blocks, love what you did with the middle of your block. It's going to make one stunning quilt.

I apologize for not commenting on everyone's blocks--I'd run out of room in this little box. I've been working lots of extra hours and I just got caught up on all the pics. Wow!!! Each and everyone is fantastic--very impressive! I've been trying to keep my background fabric constant but after seeing what some of you have done with the different background fabric I'm rethinking that. You've also given me so many ideas for different color combos. There is so much inspiration here.
Here's my #3 block: |
Love them!

OMG-leaves me speechless. Gorgeous Jan.
|
Good job, JanRN, now can I please see all of them together in one photo as we do with our MBs on PC?? Please cream and sugar?? Love that color combo!:o

I have a confession to make. I am almost done with the next/future block "Tiger Stripes". I am the kind that has to do things when I'm in the mood. I've been in the mood to work on these blocks so I went ahead. I wish I had the rest of them to do too. I won't post a picture of it until it's time for that block to be shown. I am also currently working on a needlepoint picture and just cast on for a knitted baby afghan for my future, God willing, new grandchild that is due in early May.

The October block is posted on the SYE website.
|
Thanks kwiltkrazy! I went there a few days ago, and it was available yet.

Here it is-the green block. I am soooo glad I gave up on pink-the pink will look so good in the next block. The picture is a little dark-the framing fabric has some wavy lines in it. I did most of this today as the Fluff does not have school. Now to clean up the mess that is my sewing area and plot my pinks. A huge THANK YOU to Mirabelle for the cutting directions. |
Wow, Marne, that is gorgeous!! You did a great job picking fabrics. I love the colorway and am impressed on how you made it work.
My sister's name is Marnie. You don't hear it often. :) |
