Oh so pretty JeanieG, love the centre dots, and Marne your block is beautiful, I like your idea of a different colour way, can't wait to see them all together.

Can't wait for next month when another block is posted, they are addictive. I wonder if they are going to post more blocks like they did last year when there was 6 extra Compass blocks, a girl can wonder:D

The colors look better in person, but here is my yellow block. I'm not sure how it is going to go with the rest of the colors.........

All of the blocks look so lovely-there are such creative people here!!!! For the October blocks my colors are pink and green (feel free to sing along!!!!) Red and yellow are not my favorite colors and I did not have many of them in my fabric supply. Pink should be quite easy.

Marne

Now that so sunny! Makes a gorgeous block.

GGal what a great idea of saving the blocks--will take some time but you will have your own SYE slideshow when done.

Mirabelle - they are actually tiny hearts! The colors matched the other fabrics pretty well, that is why I chose to use it!

gramquilter2 09-28-2013 11:03 AM

JeanieG, love the colors you used on your block.
Marnie, cool idea making each block a different color.

I changed the center a little. I'm making them into placemats and will bind with black.

QuiltingNinaSue 09-30-2013 04:08 AM

Very striking, Cindy A. Love the vivid colors.

gardnergal970 10-01-2013 04:21 AM

Marne...a rainbow quilt! How personal and fun.
Cindy...I wish I had adapted my center like you did. It is such a big blob on mine. Great colors!
Lstew....and so many shades of blue too. Great work.

roserips 10-01-2013 07:46 AM

Cindy that is a gorgeous block I really like how you changed the center, I am thinking of appliqueing a circle in the center of mine.

roserips 10-01-2013 07:48 AM

Lstew your blue and white is coming along so nicely I know it will be a show stopper.

carriem 10-01-2013 08:37 AM

I just wanted to let everyone know the Oct thread is up and can be found here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...r-t231508.html

dublb 10-01-2013 09:38 AM

Thank You Carrie. It helps so much ta not have ta go & look it up!

CindyA 10-01-2013 02:27 PM

Thanks everyone and I've loved seeing all of your blocks, too.

Gardnergal970, if you want to change the center of the block after it is done I like roserips idea of appliqueing a center.

Now I am finished with September posting with this post:Newest one here is Cactus rose with the setting in the desert and a dry river bed...small stones or pebbles which is also the outside border. You will nee to follow the dry river bed to find the Ghost Town where people lived long ago. Center circle is not straight because a river bed never runs straight. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Anael 10-03-2013 11:58 AM

QNS, you always have the most wonderful stories to go with your blocks! I love it :) The three blocks look great together.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at NinaSues! and just watch the creativity and talent!

QuiltingNinaSue 10-04-2013 06:21 AM

Its a dangerous thing being a fly on the wall, 'cause I have a fly swatter that scores almost every time! We welcome guests, have a guest room and are delighted when they are quilters!:o:D:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

gramquilter2 10-04-2013 08:46 AM

Roma Bauder 10-04-2013 08:38 PM

working on a new block, not sure I like it so well probably change some colors.

Roma Bauder 10-04-2013 08:45 PM

i like the river! I am having a problem. I wanted to use one color fabric thru all.but now I am not sure about this?? Do you think it would look weird if I stopped and did differnt patters now? Hummmmm??????

JeanieG 10-04-2013 09:07 PM

Sure Roma - when you lay out he blocks in the end just mix up the ones with the same fabric. No one will know the difference except you!!!

Hi all! Nygal-,I love your blocks.
I finished block 1 yesterday- fun to make but joining the triangles is a pain lol. I see a couple if points I'd like to fix and will attempt that later, but for now tada!!! Have fabrics chosen and cut for block 2 and hoping to tackle that next.
Everyone's blocks are wonderful!
