DiFergie, wow, I learned alot just by looking at your photos and how you plan to arrange your blocks.

Pretty purple Patrice. Once again, same block and everyone's take is unique.

Wow! Difergie, your quilt is going to be wonderful. It does look so Americana. PatriceJ, I love your purple heart. Alas, I have my pattern printed off but have not had time to get it done yet but I have until end of the month...or the rest of the year actually. Still have January's to do, too but good things come to those who wait...is my opinion. Love seeing everyone's pictures and I get wonderful ideas.

I do not have a lot of fancy stitches on any of my machines , so I make a log cabin style heart block, hope that is ok.

Beautiful Patrice! Since it is propped up against the sewing machine I was thinking it would make a nice sewing machine cover front.

    it's already a mug rug.
that machine won't ever be covered.
it's a decoration unless i decide to get it restored to working condition.
even then, it will stay out for display.
i'm spiffing it up a little at a time.

Here is what I finally decided to do for my heart block. I added some log cabin strips to border my PP'd heart. I had to paper piece the heart in 4 different sections to avoid any raw edges, but it was fun to do.

Love your heart & the way that you have framed it in the log cabin!

I think one of these would be adorable on the back side of a quilt.

I meant it would make A nice sewing machine cover for A sewing machine, not necessarily that mug rug or that sewing machine, or even one of your sewing machines... , I think I meant the pattern would be nice for anyone to use to make a sewing machine cover!

btw I love your sewing machine and your MR!

and you can see where 2013 Block of the months are. There is no January heart. Each month will be a different technique for us to learn. I am hoping that I can catch up with them all by April.

Here is my Feb block. Going with the black/white theme I started with Jan block. I know I didn't do this according to the directions as I enlarged the pattern several times, cut out the peices, then used each peice as a pattern on different fabric, then sewed the fabric peices together and trimmed the edges a bit!

Great job, I'm doing black and white with accent of yellow and peridot green. I figured I'd do a theme this year. And I love the black and white.
