I won't have a block ready for the first day that we can post pictures. I haven't even picked out fabrics. I do have an idea for what I want, however, so maybe on Sunday I can gather everything. Today we are taking my mom to a baseball game to celebrate her 80th birthday!!

CindyA, Happy birthday to your Mom on her eighth birthday!! Just a matter of nine years and we will be there too.
Our dd Cindy is our middle child, loving and giving; thinks she is very busy as a stay-at-home-Mom with one child. I worked full time and raised three children and tried to keep dh happy, too.
I may have to try the blocks early on, and then redo them after my cataract is removed from my right seeing eye. Nothing they can do for the left, since the optic nerve is dead there. You all have a wonderful weekend.

So sorry MiraB.
(I'm sure DD never meant any parallel ... besides, she's probably too young for the movie reference?)

Finished my second block today, which is actually block #1 in the series. So I'll be ready to post a finished block on Sept 3.
there was a while there as it was still in progress when I thought I wasn't going to like the placement of the fabrics I chose, but once I was done I was quite pleased with the end result.
Picked my fabric choices for the next block which will be the May block (Cactus Rose).

Oooh more pretty fabrics!
And oh my, I will be holding the rear for sure lol. A dear friend lost her husband and a friendship quilt for her takes priority..so until I finish that I'll be watching from the sidelines and cheering you all on!
