It happened in college to our son, who followed Cindy in the National Merit Scholarship Program in Houston. One of his Professor's looked at him and could not remember his name was Shawn, so he stammered around and said, "Cindy's brother!?" Shawn really did not mind, for he had followed the girls footprints all through school and respected them highly.
