I finally got my step 2 finished for the dragonfly baby quilt. Also grabbed some scrap 2 1/2" strips leftover from the last 2 baby quilts I made, then grabbed somemore scraps to go along with them to make these 2 baby scrap quilts. I will eventuallly get enough scraps together to make the other scrap one I started when doing step 1, but I'm not in a big hurry on that one. So here are the pics of the 3 I am working on for this right now. I have seen so many nice starts on this that everyone else is doing...love them all! Waiting PATIENTLY for step 3!!! :-)

SheriR, Love your focus fabric.
VickiM, What fun fabrics.

Thanks everybody on your comments on my black & yellow. It was fun to see everyone's thoughts. I'm going to make a table topper so I need to add 10" on each side after the finished 28". I'm sure I'll still find a spot for the pawprint fabric.

Here is my block after the third clue. The yellow is really washed out. It's such a creamy on the red side of the color wheel yellow that sets the scrappy strips off beautifully.

I am stepping out today to quilt with some friends at our friendly LQS........Mystery Quilt "center"( did y'all catch that clue ?) will be going along and will probably end up in some photos.

the appliqued minkee giraffe (test) actually turned out looking good, my DD is going to send it through a couple of washings to make sure it will really hold up on a baby quilt......... thank you to all those who PM'd encouragement.

Oh GGal ... that is lovely! ... And would make for a nice full sized scrappy quilt.

Creams are always such a difficult colour to get "right" ... and you sure got it right!!!! I'm thinking of that colour for my bedroom ... warmth and brightness instead of the dull and dreary that some can be.
