I have several bushes that have multiple blooms getting ready to open. Weather is supposed to be in high 70's for the next few days and hoping they open.

It's peony time here in Illinois too. I love peonies. Several of the ones in my yard are cuttings from plants my grandfather planted in 1929, so they are nearly 100 years old! I love their scent - it takes me back to my childhood and days at my grandparents' home.

Wow! The red peony is a real beauty. It has a lot pink in the mix. The dark ones here are more maroon but I’m loving yours. Thanks for sharing. My white ones are showing now. My pinks are over.

Meanwhile, I’m going to see if I can find the Email from my son with the referencing use of the newspaper.

Bonnie-those are stunning!!! You have some varieties I haven't seen. And to think some are that old! Wow.

And even more peonies. They just keep going and going this year.

Omg, what a flower show! Thanks so much for posting those beauties!!! I showed my husband (he's an avid gardener) and he flipped over them

Bonnie, talk to us about the yard ornament. Is it a bird house? Or a bird church? Love it?

First one of the season. It is scenting the whole dining room!
