Hi Everyone! Yes! It was -29 here last night. Everything is frozen (trees etc.) and the river that flows behind our place is almost frozen from bank to bank. It NEVER freezes over and it is steaming like crazy. Brrrrr. Hope it's warmer where you are. Yolanda

    Hi Vanessa,

I don't know your brother. My husband and I live in Grantsburg part time. We built a home on my husband's grandfather's land. He bought the land in 1911. Our main address is in La Grange, Illinois. However, if I do run into your brother, I will let him know that we are quiltboard friends. Thanks for sharing. Y

It was -17 this morning at 6:30 AM when I took my hubby to work and up to 0 when I picked him up. The wind was really cold, too.

Thanks. I was feeling pretty chilly here on my ridge where it was 2 this morning, but now know I have no reason to complain.

Got news for you honey, it's headed right this way and is snowing again as I write. Hope it's clear enough for you to get back. I'm near Detroit and it's 5 degrees without windchill now.

That is cold. I'm originally from WI (Colby - the home of Colby Cheese) and we moved to NC three years ago. I know I surely don't miss the cold weather, even though it is colder here right now as well (in the 30's), but that would feel like a heat wave to the folks back there I know.
