Move to CO and you too can have bear in your yard, or at least you sure could when I lived there.

How nice of your husband to create Frog Haven (whether accidently or not)!

In general, frogs have longer (jumping-type) legs, smoother skin, and prefer wet areas. Toads have shorter, stubbier legs, bumpy skin, and prefer dry areas.

Gorillas are part of the Great Apes family. Apes don't have tails. Monkeys have tails.

Alligators have wider, sorta rounded-shaped snouts and crocodiles have narrow, kinda pointed snouts. Other differences, of course, but that's the most recognizable.

What can I say? I used to be a tom-boy and was fascinated by stuff like that.

If anyone wanted to kill me, all they would have to do would be to put one of these critters on me. I would have a heart attack--on the spot. I can handle the fuzzy critters and even the spiders, but frogs and snakes just scare me to death!

Used to catch tadpolls in the summer when I was a kid. Frogs yes, snakes NO period. I'm just glad I don't live in south Florida near the glads. Those stupid boas & phythons are taking over & now there is a dragon type lizard that is a cousin to the komoto dragon that is taking over. Want to get freaked out, just watch Animal Planet.
