Default Alzheimer's Fidget pillows

My husband is in the advanced stage of Alzheimer's and we had to place him in a Memory Care facility this past weekend. The occupational therapist suggested that I get him a fidget pillow. I have google searched and found several but the cheapest one is $50 which is way more than I can pay. I don't have the time to make one since I spend all my time with him. Does anyone know a site that has the pillows or fidget quilts for sale at a cheaper price? Thank you in advance.

Any special size or color what ever. They all can go thru the wash with no problems.

Dorothy, those are wonderful. My hub's sister is spiraling down now--in a memory unit already. Will make her one as she forgets now she has coloring books, and can't remember how to use her TV or, sometimes, how to use her lift chair.

A group I belong to make these for various residences. We also knit them--call twiddle muffs. Its amazing all the uses they have--for kids and adults alike Patterns for both can be found by googling if anyone is interested in following this.

Our Guild makes these for a service project. They are distributed to facilities that have dementia units. It's a great project to do as a group sewing bee type event or individually.
We are always on the hunt at thrift shops for heavy fabric placemats as they make a good foundation for them. One member also makes up kits and others sew them together.

I made one for my Aunt that was in a dementia care center, she has since passed. I have no use for it, if you want to private message me your address I will gladly mail it to you... So sorry to hear you are going through this it is very hard on the family members.

Gee Whiz! Some of those on Etsy someone was sure proud of. The guild I was in made them for the local nursing home Alzheimer's unit and I made four of them for donation. One of my granddaughters came over to help me several days. She loved picking what I should put on next. They were very appreciated by the home.

Just want to say how kind you are to offer to do this. I know Carmen will appreciate it so much! The time she is spending with her husband is so precious and you have given her a wonderful gift.

My sister has just been diagnosed with early dementia; our mother died 11 years ago with Alzheimer's. I am going to start making some of these now so when that time comes, we will have them. God bless you!
