You have got to be kidding. Our justice system sure needs a lot of work.

Why did the other guy(not her boyfriend) get 30 years for being an accessory and she gets off free. Something is definitely wrong with our system.

The other guy would have received 30 years, but when he named Amanda and her boyfriend he received 16 years. She got off free because the judge said she didn't do it!

I knew about this trial but did not follow it really closely- how come the DNA evidence is only coming out now? I am just so happy that Amanda gets to come home. I love Italy but would not want to be in prison anywhere... I hope she is not scarred for life from this experience...

What about the victim? They usually don't count after someone kills them. I never follow cases like this.

The man who killed her is in prison in Italy. The victim's family has been at all of the trials, but they said they would abide by the appeal. They do feel like Amanda was guilty.

I heard that the Italian government prosecutors want to and can retry her! Whether they do it or not is something else. In the US, that is double jeopardy, who knows what Italy will do! Edie

I am not that familiar with it, but if she is guilty and is free, she will have to live with it for the rest of her life. Edie
