Oh, Mr Loaf. One of my musical regrets is that I had the opportunity to see him early on but missed it because of the name...
Jim Steinman, the producer/creative genius behind Meat and many others passed last year. I've had his (only) solo album (Bad for Good) in heavy rotation since then along with some of his side projects, but today I'm putting on Bat out of Hell.
Sad to say, part of me really wants to make a big meatloaf today and make toasts to Eddy -- it makes sense to those who still do the time warp.

I never realized he was in the stage production of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I can still see our good friends lip syncing and imitating the video of Paradise By the Dashboard Light. Sure wish I'd had a phone to video that performance!! His music got me through a lot of work outs and road trips. RIP Meat Loaf.

You know the first dance at your wedding?
My husband and I sang "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" and it was a huge crowd pleaser!
I hope Paradise is everything Meat Loaf imagined it would be.
