I used to live there and I have seen all the flooding there,and it makes me sad.I loved Nashiville ,the Cumberland River is so beautiful.I was concerned about the places I have worked at friends that I knew there and even my ex husband lives there.SO I hope everyone there is doing okay and my thoughts are with the people of Nashville

yes the grand ole is under water. I havent seen the news today so I dont know if it receded or not, but its prolly all gross in there now.

I heard that it was underwater, so is the Ryman... much of downtown is... I think the first floor or two of the OpryHotel as well. There were still people stranded there on the upper floors Monday...

It's not super unusual for the area around the Grand Old Opry (old Opryland) to flood. I remember floods in that area in the 60's and 70's. I'm sure others remember pictures of Rudy's buffalo stranded on a low hill. I do find it unusal for downtown to flood though. Yes, it is a mess. 24 and 40 have both been closed in some places, although I think they are both open now.
