Is anyone old enough

Yes, I remember watching it with my mom. Now seems rather sad as they had to tell of their hardships and sadness. Yes, they were awarded with prizes, but it "awarded" the woman who had it the worst. There were a lot of good shows back then.....clean and funny.

I remember I would cry along with my Mother, we were so happy for the "Queen for the day". A poor woman with 10 kids or so would have to wash all the laundry by hand or something really desperate would win!! and she would win a brand new washer and dryer.

Oh, yes, I am old enough to remember, but didn't have time to watch as I worked for many years. My daughter had a friend that was "Queen for a Day"; too far back to remember how she did prize wise. I think she did win several prizes, including a washer and dryer. Sure brings back memories. Thanks.
