Default Art Deco Doll

This is my second ornament doll I am working on and I am almost done, thank goodness. Remember the Herald Angel I posted some time ago (Harold). This doll will also hang in my LQS. It's a pattern by Arley Berry Hill also, just like Harold.

So far I have finsihed the heads and I have used colored pencils and ink pens and I kinda like it. Usually I paint and I always never like the pencils and end up painting over them lol...but in this case, it will stay.

The heads will look a bit like the Cone Heads? lol..but that is because they are the foundation for the turbans (I am making two dolls) ...and the bodies are ready and attached to the ornament shaped form that was sewed and stuffed. I will be working on the costumes today and will post as I get done.

Boy what a lot of work, those are thin aren't they, love to see them when they are finished. I have problems with faces on things myself, yours look so neat. Now what will you do with them? Thanks for sharing something different.

Great work, Rosie. I am going to start Arley's Carmencita I think the name is. The day of the dead stump doll. I have the Harold pattern but have never made it. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I just finished the Ornament. It's night here so the photo are not the best but anyway here she is. Her dress is silk with ribbon roses sewed down all over the fabric. Her belt velvet and beaded, Her side skirt and turban is also velvet. The turban wrap is sparkly organza.

She has many beaded swags from head to toe lol.
