How precious ! My daughter's friend just recently rescued a baby fawn . It was on the side of the interstate ! Mom and dad were no where in sight . Her dad brought it home . They nursed it over the weekend and then took it to the wildlife center . As far as I know it's doing fine . Annie

Rescuing the fawn is a mother's intuition and we women can't help it. I have, however, heard the same that the momma will get her baby back no matter who she hurts. Glad your family wasn't attacked and glad there are still people in this world who go out of their way to help others.
I live on a county road and there are deer all the time grazing on the side of the road. Sometimes it's a perfect photo opportunity and usually occurs when I don't have mine. They are beautiful creatures and interesting to watch.
I live in Florida and any time I see a golfer turtle on the road I shoo it off the road so no one runs it over. I have seen that a few times and there is absolutely no sense in that at all. My kids rescued three baby owls about 25 years ago and a local vet involved in wildlife rescue took them in until they were ready to be released.
