Jingle, these are the rubber pants. They are diaper covers made out of waterproof PUL fabric with a soft cotton lining. You can use them over any cloth diaper, but I also made soaker pads to go inside. They are 2 layers of fleece inside of Birdseye cotton diapering fabric. Super thick.

I did use a pattern. It’s by “Green Pepper”, #F708. I bought it at JoAnns. You can probably order it online too.

I haven't made diapers yet, but I did make up several dozen reusable baby wipes-just 10" squares of flannel that I serged all the way around. If your daughter is using cloth diapers, she might also like reusable wipes too.
Thats a great idea! I need to make a bunch of those.

LOL, NZ! Tooo funny.

I cloth diapered all three of my kids, after my first developed horrendous rashes from the chemicals in disposables. Cotton diapers are so nice! I had two in cloth diapers at one time for about a year. I’m really happy my DD is going that route. DIL wants to use disposables.

What exciting news SBG...and adorable diapers. My DIL used them for the second baby and I think they were pricey to purchase.

My youngest grandkids are now 13 and 15. I wish we could start over. It goes so fast. My 15 year old is in driver’s ed and he drove me around all weekend. It is so funny, he will go anywhere if I will let him drive.

I am so happy for you SBG and JJ. It is so exciting and I hope you both live close enough to them to really get the fabulous enjoyment they bring. My kids weren’t in a hurry either. One waited 5 years and the other 7. It has been well worth the wait.

Congratulations! I bet you are really going to be sewing up a storm now. Love the diaper covers & the fact that one mom will be going with cloth diapers. When our DD was born disposable diapers were just getting popular. I used cloth ones for her.
