My friend made me burp cloths out of flannel that were fabulous and just got softer with washing (which there was a lot of with a reflux baby). She simply cut the in a kind of hourglass type shape, two layers and serged the edges. Super simple and had no issues with them at all. Wish I had a serger to do the same for people!
