Yup, I know those big guys can climb. When we were honeymooning in Yosemite, one of the rangers advised us that one of the most popular disease there was "Bear Stomp Fever".

When he got thorough a bout of undignified and throughly unprofessional gasping for breath and giggling, he explained that it was when backpackers did as advised, hung their foodstuffs on a line between two trees. Then they stupidly put their sleeping bags on the ground under it to protect it from bears!!

Here would come the bear, smelling the food, and seeing no other way to reach it, would bounce up and down on the little mound of human bundled up in a big piece of batting.

See where I'm going with this?
