My FIRST thought! I was awake and watching the night that the tsunami started hitting Japan. I was so saddened to understand that none of the commentators had the concept of ACRES and MILES of farming that was being destroyed in slow motion.
My one prayer and the hope I cling to is: Sixty years ago, the world thought that Japan was done for with the two atomic bombs that were dumped on them. the "experts" didn't have a clue at how resilient the human spirit could be, how little they really understood or knew about what had been done ... AND! They totally underestimated how God can intervene in human events to bring new technology forward to take a third world nation from desperate egomaniacs to a world leader of technology in a number of amazing industries. He can do it again - - if we will turn to Him for the answers. <wave>
