Fairbanks just had an ice storm last week. They don't often have them like we do here on the coast. I lived in Fairbanks 28 years.

After pics will have to wait. It got dark before I realized it and did not get a pic. We have snow o nthe ice but we also got some rain and warmer temps so we could be back to the ice skating rink soon. Will try to get one tomorrow!

Have you been watching Sarah Palin's Alaska. Watch that, you will love Alaska. That is my next new adventure that I would like to take. Halibut Fishing, climbing Mt. McKinley, walking on glaciers, jumping over fissures. I envy you. Some of the weather there is warmer than the weather here. And you get all that daytime light!

Enjoy your new adventure. Edie

You have to be tough to live in Alaska. Last winter I think we could have claimed to live there. So much snow it was ridiculous. So far this year only about an inch. Not even too cold either (so far).

You can keep that ice.
We get it too and I hate it.
We are getting snow finally and I don't like it either.
I like sunshine and warm weather.

I like all of our seasons except winter.

Always like the song slip sliding away! Never liked driving on ice because you are slipping and sliding, be careful.

If you can't walk on it, don't try to drive on it!
