My kitten Toby does the same but he climbs onto my chest and stares at me until I give up any ideas of sewing.

Ben looks exactly like my cat, Thomas Brown. Thomas gets insecure and sucks the end of his tail if I ignore him!

(We picked him as a discard in the parking lot at Wally World.)
