I bought my bernina Nova in 1981. Still works like a champ except the foot pedal. Went to get it repaired only to find out Bernina isn't making parts for that machine anymore ! And, to make matters worse, the Nova is the ONLY Bernina model with a 3 prong cord ! No interchangeable parts !! Bummer.

Bernina promises to provide parts and service for 15 years after the last machine of a model is SOLD, not when the last one is made. Pretty darn good, IMO. See if you can get that from another manufacturer. If new parts aren't available, look for another machine to harvest from. It'll be worth it.
