Default Better than a card!

#2 son presented me with a can of sweetened condensed milk and a bag of dried apricots for Mother's Day (on Monday- but he did call on Sunday)

I totally love both items.

We used to put a can of ripe olives in each of the kids' Christmas 'stocking' - actually it was a brown paper grocery bag - but it worked for us.

When DH was a kid his folks would give him a jar of peanut butter for a gift. He still LOVES PB.

Personalized gifts are the BEST! It means someone is really paying attention to you, your likes and dislikes, etc. Apparently nobody in my family has ever been able to figure me out.......

I love gifts like that, in which the giver knows exactly what you love . . . and gives it, instead of something "for show."

Ooooooooooh... condensed milk! Are you gonna use it to make danger pudding? Yum! Now that I think about it, I may have to have DH make some tomorrow!

My hubby knows he can get me chocolate for any occasion, and he'll pass muster. Anything past that is "extra credit;" anything less is "doghouse"
