Wink Bible bag

Made myself a Bible bag, changed a little the original tutorial adding a front pouch to hold my little
Note book and a pen.
I made it with upholstery fabric but I added wadding and it really turned out too thick I’ll make the next one just with the upholstery fabric and see how it turns out.

Pretty & useful. Mine is recycled denim drawstring with red trimming. It’s special to me because my Aunt made it for me.

Great job with the bag.

PS: You can trim the batting out of the seam lines. It reduces bulk and makes a smoother edge. If the fabric is being quilted, just cut the batting 1/2 or 1 inch smaller. The quilting will hold evrything together at the seam lines.

Your Bible tote is very nice. The extra pocket is handy to have. Nice for any book too. I made one last spring for a friend of mine's daughter making her first communion. Nice job. I am sure it will be well used.

Nice bag & love the front pocket for your pen & pad. I've had some in the past without handles but for me, handles are a must. DH bought me a store bought one but I like the homemade ones best as you can customize it to your liking. You did a great job on it. Do you have "pockets" on the inside for the front & back of your Bible to slip into so it won't fall out when you open the bag?
