face to face they were. We got dd a kitten for Christmas last week. Its lived in a big crate when the dogs are inside the last week. That gave them all time to get used to each other. DD was sick today and did not hold Daisy as much as usual. Daisy is also getting comfortable and wanted to explore the house. The dogs were also in most of the day due to the weather. Tucker, our great pyr is huge. He's good with cats too. Today he wanted to play with Daisy. He would bark and try to paw at her trying to get her to play. He followed her all over....she climbed the bookcase....he jumped up. She went under the desk, he laid on the floor so his nose could fit under. Tucker is just over a year old himself so still a puppy by great pyr standards. Well Miss Daisy finally had enough of him and let him know to get out of her face! It was hilarious! Here is this tiny kitten and this huge dog and he backs off from her! Here's a pic of them playing earlier before she had enough of him.

Size and who's the boss don't always match. Your story reminded me of the shihtzu I fostered who was about 8 lbs soaking wet telling off a friends Doberman puppy. She got all momma dog on him and he was all cowering and doing the doggy version of sorry, sorry, my pardon. It was halarious!
