Waiting here in NY for the big snows to come. So far we have been very lucky this season with few storms but this one is suppose to be our BIG one. A good time to hide and quilt. How is it where you are???

I'm stuck at a hotel in OKC... daughter's flight out today was cancelled, along with all the others... sigh... I brought some cross-stitch to work on, so all's well, actually. We are eating up all of their breakfast food, which they are graciously providing. She won't be flying out until tomorrow night!! So, I'll probably finish this cross-stitch project. I'm thinking I will put together a hand quilting project for the future... Meanwhile, I'm enjoying a lot of time on the QB!!
Happy quilting all!!

I hand quilted the little squares in the D9OP baby quilt I'm making... Only 12 more squares to do...then the binding and I can deliver it to the soon to be 1 yr. old...I started it November 2009...yeah not the fastest quilter on the board.

We are in a white-out condition in Kansas now with snow falling at the rate of about 2 1/2 inches per hour. We have plenty of food, heat and UFO's to keep me busy for the duration.

I'm in Illinois about 25 mile southwest of Chicago. I just got home from work. Normally takes me about 20 minutes. It took me about an hour today. Lots of wind, and the snow is really started to come down now. Glad I don't have to go back until Thursday. DH is supposed to go to work in about an hour, and they called him and told him to stay home.

Our part of the storm has begun. It is snowing and blowing. We are supposed to get 22" or more. They have already closed school (I teach second grade) for tomorrow...our first snow day this year....so I get to stay home and quilt!!! Stay safe and stay warm!
