Very sorry to hear this. Another great loss for the quilting community.

I hadn't heard anything about her in a long time. But just last week I was teaching the Billie Lauder way of making scrappy 4 patches to my friends at guild. They were so impressed that I was asked to teach the method to the whole guild in September. There may still be a you tube video where she shows this method. I met Billie at the quilt show in Paducah years ago, bought her copy machine copied book, and had her autograph it for me. She had such a joyous personality.

She had a gift for making this perfectly clear and memorable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNHbl1IYfls

It's so sad that she's left us. RIP, Billie.

I think she was the original disappearing 9-patch and 4-patch lady. I first saw them in one of her videos and was so impressed I bought three of her books. What a fun lady and a great teacher.

Was there an obit listed somewhere? Just curious. I think I might have one of her books somewhere in my collection.

I tried to look it up and couldn't find anything on her. Did anyone else find anything.

I just looked it up and I have 13 of her books. I guess I really liked her.
