black walnuts????
#1
Does anyone know any possible way to get black walnut stains off of my hands? I shelled about 1 five gallon bucket and I have about 3 more to go. I did about a half a bucket yesterday with regular garden gloves on and my hands were a little stained. So today, I wore latex gloves like my mom suggested and now my thumbs are black and I shelled just as many.
I’ve tried soap and hot water, shampoo, face wash, WD-40, Vaseline, lemon juice, salt, bleach, and lotion, all to no prevail. Any other ideas or cures??
The only good thing, it won't wear off on anything, so I can still quilt!

Try some hand cleaners from the automotive store. I believe one of them is called "Goop" another is "Goof Off". I don't know if they will work but could be worth a try.
Those walnuts will taste really good in some pumpkin bread this fall!! (and fudge...can't forget fudge!)

Try some coconut oil. Kroger and Walmart sell it in a 1 quart jar in with the other shortenings and oils. It runs around 5.00, no need to buy the high dollar virgin cold pressed oil for this job.
I always try to remove stains or tough dirt with like substances. Coconuts and walnuts - nuts!
