Thank you all for the welcome backs.

This year has been rather crazy. Below is a brief update.

As some of you might remember (or not) on November 28, 2016
(Monday after Thanksgiving last year) I was stricken with Bells Palsy.
With everything I heard and read about Bells Palsy that the average
recovery time is around 3-6 months, with some cases longer, and in
rare cases (like with Nancy Zeiman on "Sewing with Nancy") never a
full recovery.

I was much luckier than many people in that mine was gone (for the most
part) withing about 5-6 weeks! only lingering effect I really had was that
my left eye wouldn't "blink" or close fully so I had to tape it closed at night
for a few additional weeks (3-5 weeks).

In February this year I started a new full time job for a construction company.
This new job is just 1 mile from home and I LOVE working there. Part of my
duties are estimating support.

My grandson Zack is 2-1/2 years old now and just loves being a photo ham.
He has tons and tons of books. Every day about 2-4 times a day he goes
to his room and brings a book out that he wants read to him. His mom & dad
will read it to him than will wrap the book in Christmas paper and let him open
it (see picture below). After he unwraps the book he wants it read again. After
it is read he puts the book in a "special" box than that box gets taken to a day
care, Dr Office, shelter or any place that could use gently used children's books
and donated.

My daughter is doing fairly well now, she has a defibrillator implanted, and in
March this year she had a hysterectomy done so that she could be guarnateed
not to get pregnant again.

I has been almost a year since we lost our last fur baby, and I still can't bring
myself to get another one yet. I want one, but I just can't do it yet.

Not sure what else that is new for me, but I know there is (just can't think of it
right now).

The last posts I remember from you - or daughter was having a rough pregnancy, you had been laid off from two different jobs -
