Pants and shorts with elastic waist loose fitting tops tank top style. I made all my kids cloths when they were small and now my 8 year old granddaughter is learning to make easy shorts and tops.

Check out Moda Bake Shop. There are some really cute ideas for kids clothes.

Yep, elastic shorts, pants and skirts. I always found jumpers easy. Just remember the seam allowance is generally wider when sewing clothes. Most pattern companies have an easy section. Look in there.

Look for "Sew Easy" and others that are labeled make in on hour ( realizing that one hour is what it takes them to make  LOL) Super easy and such . Simplicity and McCalls are going to be your best bet

I'm learning to sew easy patterns for my daughter. I went on ebay and found a pattern called The Parksbird Pattern Collection. You use pillow cases, bandanas and of course fabric. It has patterns for dresses, pants, jumpers, and many more items, It also includes patterns that you use juice pouches. I have used it, easy instructions to follow, and I think what I have done have come out cute. My daughter even just likes to look at the Cd. Oh it comes in a CD with the instructions and pictures.
